Tacorón

Calm sea to relax in on El Hierro

Although El Hierro has fewer beaches than the other islands in the archipelago, Tacorón Cove is certainly one of the best. In the southwest of the island and near Mar de Las Calmas (calm sea), the name describes its waters to perfection as it is bathed by the calmest Atlantic waters all year round. A little beach with a peculiar contrast of colours: the blue of the water blends into the ochres and blacks of the sand.

From the cove to everywhere

Other places of interest are so close and so easily accessible from Tacorón Cove that it is a great place to plan any route to or from. The road goes to the coastal village of La Restinga, where you can have some delicious fresh fish. Those who prefer to spend all day in the water can enjoy the nearby beaches and natural pools.
