A panoramic view of the Las Playas Bay
Shaped like an amphitheatre, Las Playas viewpoint is a balcony with views of an amazing landscape. It is in the north of the island of El Hierro and a 20-minute drive from Valverde. In front lies the sea, where you can see a virgin bay with beaches in the form of bitemarks bathed by the furious Atlantic Ocean. Protected within the island's UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Bonanza Rock from above
At a viewpoint, you can take all the time in the world to discover every inch of the landscape. From Las Playas viewpoint, you have to look closely to make out El Hierro Parador Hotel and the majestic Bonanza Rock in the distance, and you can sometimes even see Tenerife and La Gomera. If there is fog when you arrive, just wait a while for the sky to clear. After being amazed by the views, you can go to San Andrés to try some island gastronomy.
