La Restinga

Route to the Mar de las Calmas

Route around the southernmost area of the island of El Hierro. It starts in the fishing village of La Restinga and takes us to the town of Terencio, continuously ascending past volcanoes and along difficult trails through El Pinar with exceptional views of the coastline. We see views of both sides of El Hierro along the way: east and west. After the ascent, to the west, we have incredible views of the Mar de las Calmas and a descent past volcanic areas back down to the starting point of La Restinga.
