A fishing village bathed by the El Hierro sunlight
La Restinga is a fishing village located at the southernmost tip of El Hierro and all of Spain. The basic points of interest of this town are the variation of its sea bed and the quiet of its streets and coves. A perfect space for anyone who wants to relax on a beach under the sun, far from the big tourist resorts. A beach protected from the waves by the breakwater in the port, making it the perfect choice for the whole family.
Diving in the Mar de las Calmas
There is a wide variety of rental apartment accommodation in La Restinga, along with restaurants where you can savour fresh fish and grocery shops and supermarkets. In addition, diving fans will find numerous diving clubs from where they can go out exploring the Mar de las Calmas – one of the most famous dive sites in the Canary Islands. There is also a museum that contains all the information about the underwater volcanic eruption that took place in 2011 barely 3 kilometres off its coasts.
