Visit the first ecomuseum in Spain
The village of Guinea was one of the first settlements on the island. Now, the Guinea Ecomuseum is a journey back in time. Fifteen centuries of history are reflected there through customs, structures and architecture. You can visit the dwellings of the first islanders and those of the subsequent colonists.
A very peculiar lizardarium
The Guinea Ecomuseum houses the Centre for Recovery of the El Hierro Giant Lizard, a place where the El Hierro giant lizard is being recovered. It is one of the most endangered reptiles in the world and in danger of extinction so it is an unforgettable memory to see one face to face. Both establishments are open morning and afternoon every day and provide guided tours.
